Do you only take care of dogs and cats?

No! Dogs and cats are my typical clients but I do care for rabbits, small birds, guinea pigs, turtles, fish, ferrets, hamsters, iguanas, bearded dragons, & chinchillas.

Are the people who work for you contractors or employees?

No. I do not have formal employees. My family assists me when needed and they are all covered under my insurance plan. I always bring a family member with me to a new job so that someone else is trained in case I have an emergency.

What about keys?

I prefer to get a set of keys from you at the consultation/interview (if you decide that you’d like to use my service). Otherwise if I need to make another trip over to your home to pick them up, there is a $10 fee. The majority of my clients have me keep their keys  for convenience. I store them safely at my home and they are not tagged with any identifying information other than your pet’s name.

My cat/dog needs insulin. Can you give insulin injections?

I have cared for animals that need insulin as well as other injected medications. As long as your animal is not aggressive I can administer the injection. However, please talk to me first. If an animal has had a recent reaction or is newly diagnosed, it may be best to board them at your vets.

How far in advance do I need to book with you?

The sooner you are able to book the better, especially during the busy summer and holiday times!

If you are a new client and we have not yet met, I recommend you contact me a minimum of 1 week in advance so I can set up a time for us to meet each other and complete the necessary paperwork. If you need service in less than 1 week, please call anyway because I usually can find the time to help you out.

How do I go about setting up service?

Either email me at staceyspetcare@gmail.com or call 650-464-7506. I will need to know:

  • City & street of where you live
  • Number and types of animals
  • Dates you will be gone
  • If any of your animals need medication

What will I need to provide to you at our initial meeting?

At this meeting we will complete the necessary paperwork. It will help to speed up things if you have the following information handy:

  • Name/contact information of a local person we can reach in case of an emergency
  • Vet information
  • Medications/dosages/frequency of any medications your animals may need
  • Animal's license number and rabies number
  • Microchip information
At this initial meeting you will also need to provide me with a set keys.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes. You can pay with a credit card through PayPal. However, PayPal charges a fee so I will need to add on an additional $10 convenience charge.
